  What is IGD (Internet Gaming Disorder)? Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) is recognized by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) in the DSM-5-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition, Text Revision) for further research. This disorder involves compulsive gaming, leading to significant disruptions in daily life. The DSM-5-TR includes substance-related addictive disorders like alcohol, tobacco, stimulants, marijuana, opioids etc. Gambling disorder is the only behavioral addiction identified in DSM-5-TR. Criteria for IGD (need at least 5 out of 9 in a 12-month period): 1. Preoccupation with games 2. Withdrawal symptoms when not gaming 3. Need to spend more time gaming 4. On June 4, 2024, the results for NEET(UG) 2024 were announced by NTA, and students from Scholars Den performed exceptionally well. On 13th May 2024, CBSE surprised students by declaring the results of class XII and class X for 2024. A total number of 12 students from Scholars Den secured over 95% marks in class XII and class X. This includes 5 students from class XII and 7 students from class X. Remarkably, 29 students from class XII and 36 students from class X of the institute secured over 90% marks. Notably, all these students were preparing for board exams along with JEE and NEET simultaneously.
